
October 2007- Here are pictures before New York's Finest Baseball began working on the field. As you could see the base paths are in poor condition, third base is hidden under weeds, and the pitchers mound is flat. 


April 2008- Below are pictures of our work as it progresses. As you can see the base paths are cleaned up, There is a third base, the pitchers mound was raised, the early stages of both bullpens are formed, new benches, and patched up home plate area. The team will continue to work on the field, check back soon for updated pictures of our progress.  
May 20, 2008- As the hard work continues, NY Finest will be adding Dugouts within the next few weeks. The Dugouts will be built of cinder Block and will be 45' long. The Team is also working on buying a used scoreboard. New York's Finest Baseball Club would like to thank New York Dirt Company who supplied us with a truck load of top soil. We were able to use that topsoil to plant new grass seed to worn areas of the field where grass wouldn't grow.  June 25, 2008- New York's Finest Baseball Club begins building the dugouts. As you can see, the foundations are built. A special thanks to Frank and DLR Commercial Corp for the great work as well as the NYCMBL who helped with the funding. The next step is getting roofs, baseball bat racks, and shelves built. More News coming soon!


September 3, 2008- As the summer came and went, NY Finest baseball Club continues to work hard to improve Floyd Bennett Field. More information coming soon. April 2009- NY Finest Baseball is back at it again out in Floyd Bennett Field. The Team with help from the NYCMBL and Poly Tech University were able to add the roofs to the dugouts that were started last June. The Last step is a fresh paint job once the weather breaks. 

March 22, 2010- New York's Finest Baseball Club was out at Freedom Field beginning to prepare it for the 2010 season. The Team added 50 tons of MLB quality baseball clay from Natural Sand and started the cleanup from last weeks heavy storm. 
  
  
   
  
May 2010- New York's Finest Baseball Club continues to improve the infield for the 2010 season. The Team added over 200 lbs of a baseball mix grass seed. The Team also edged out and made the baselines wider to conform to regulations.    
| New York's Finest Baseball Club began our 15th season on April 7, 2008. This year we be like none of the past. New York's Finest Baseball came to an agreement with Poly Tech University that secures use of Floyd Bennett Field for the 2008 season and following years to come. Floyd Bennett Field is located just off Flatbush avenue, near the Marine Park Bridge in Brooklyn, New York. The NYPD Drivers Training Unit and Aviation Unit are housed there. October 2007- Management from New York's Finest met with Poly Tech University to work on a deal that would allow the Finest to use the field when the school wasn't. Under the agreement, New York's Finest Baseball would maintain and upgrade the facility. The baseball field which wasn't in pristine condition and needs work but the overall dimensions and location is great. The field is 330' down the lines, 400' to center, and has plenty of foul territory. April 2008- New York's Finest Baseball has begun remodeling the field. We have spent days on the field making it home. The team has already, Painted the foul poles and sewage drains, added windscreens and safety caps to all the fences. We added new benches to the dugout area. The team raised the pitchers mound, built two quality bullpen mounds and patched holes in the infield. This is only the beginning. We are now working on the big upgrades. We would like to put in New enclosed dugouts and a electronic scoreboard. With plenty of work ahead of us, the team will continue working hard until all of our goals are reached. Check back for updates. Full Field Pro Rain Tarp Donated by Brooklyn Cyclones November 2009 Add new bleachers and a press box for guests and spectators. Painting existing foul poles. (completed) Purchase New Tractor for field maintenance and to cut the grass. (completed) Add new tall screens behind the home plate area to prevent the loss of foul balls. Lights. Who wouldn't like to be able to play night games? Add a memorial monument the behind home plate area for the 23 members of the NYPD and everyone else who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Add a roll out, on field batting practice shell. Add a Public address system. Add padded outfield walls. Add professional style foul poles.
