New York's Finest Baseball Club which is a non - profit 501c3 organization (Tax ID # available upon Request) is made up of 30 New York City Police Officers from all five boroughs in New York City. We will play 60-65 games a year .

In, 2008 New York's Finest Baseball Club will participate in two local amateur Men's Baseball Leagues. During the week the team could be found on the ball field at the Parade Grounds in Prospect Park where the team participates in the Parade Ground League (PGL). On weekends, NY Finest will participate in the New York Metro Baseball League (NYCMBL).  NY Finest will use Poly Tech University's Baseball Diamond at Floyd Bennett Field also in Brooklyn . Floyd Bennett field complex houses the NYPD Drivers Training Unit as well as the NYPD Aviation unit.

The Team has big plans in 2008. Besides playing locally, NY Finest will participate in Several Charity Events and National Tournaments. The Team will travel to Miami, Florida in Late March for spring training playing Teams such as Coral Gables Police Department and Miami Police Department. We Will Host our 4thAnnual Anthony Vazquez Memorial Tournament in New York City, where Police a Fire department Teams from across the country will attend. New York's Finest also have plans on attending the 2008 Western States Games in Boise Idaho as well as the Columbus Ohio Public Safety Tournament in September. The team is also working on a free children's baseball clinic during the summer. We can't forget the big rivalry game vs. FDNY at Keyspan Park where New York's Finest and Bravest square off each summer.

As you see we have big plans for 2008. With those big plans come big expenses. The Team does not receive any funds directly from the New York City Police Department or from the City Of New York. We do receive contributions from the Police Unions (PBA, DEA, SBA, LBA) . Players will sell raffles and team merchandise throughout the year to raise funds to participate in these events. We also receive contributions from other organizations to help diminish the cost. Those contributors can be found on our Sponsor & Links Page. To make it easier for interested parties looking to contribute we set up an account with PAY Pal that excepts donations.

For all contributors we will add your  name to this page as an official sponsor of the 2008 New York Finest Baseball Club. For businesses with websites we will also add your link to the Sponsor & Links page.

Throughout our history, we have had our share of media exposure on the local and National level. We have appeared in Newspaper articles in the Daily News, New York News Day. We have also been seen in magazines like Hardball and Police Officers Quarterly. Last Summer we were featured in The Sporting News where NY Finest Team members were in the centerfold of the magazine. Our 2002 Annual Game vs. FDNY was taped and aired several times on the YES Network. The Team has also appeared in several ceremonial events such as Closing ceromonies at Delmar Race  Track in California, Raising of the flag at San Diego Airport, Flag Folding before a game between the San Diego Chargers and Houston Texans. We also were behind homeplate during the national anthem before a San Diego Padre baseball Game.

New York's Finest Baseball Club would like to thank you for your support.
