On Sunday September 21, 2008 Xaverian HS  (Bay Ridge Brooklyn) will host the 20th Annual PO Chris Hoban Memorial 5-Mile run. The race is held in memory of PO Chris Hoban, an undercover NYC detective who was killed in the line of duty in 1988.  Proceeds from the race are donated to a scholarship fund in memory of Chris’ at Xaverian High School .

 

In addition to the run there are Pee Wee races, and a ¼, ½ or 1 Mile Hat Walk.  There’s long sleeve T-shirts for adults; and short sleeve for Pee Wee runners. Each Pee Wee runner receives a medal.  There’s a great post race party with the band, "Head Over Heels", DJ Tommy Tunes, awards, kids activities, a BBQ, beverages, and raffles. Bring your beach chair! Runners, walkers, volunteers, and sponsors are welcome!
