October 2007- Here are pictures before New York's Finest Baseball
began working on the field. As you could see the base paths are in poor
condition, third base is hidden under weeds, and the pitchers mound is
flat.

April 2008- Below are pictures of our work
as it progresses. As you can see the base paths are cleaned up, There is a
third base, the pitchers mound was raised, the early stages of both
bullpens are formed, new benches, and patched up home plate area. The team
will continue to work on the field, check back soon for updated pictures
of our progress.

May 20, 2008- As the hard work continues, NY Finest will
be adding Dugouts within the next few weeks. The Dugouts will be built of
cinder Block and will be 45' long. The Team is also working on buying a
used scoreboard. New York's Finest Baseball Club would like to thank New
York Dirt Company who supplied us with a truck load of top
soil. We were able to use that topsoil to plant new grass seed to worn
areas of the field where grass wouldn't grow.

June 25, 2008- New York's Finest Baseball Club begins
building the dugouts. As you can see, the foundations are built. A special
thanks to Frank and DLR Commercial Corp for the great work as well as the
NYCMBL who helped with the funding. The next step is getting roofs,
baseball bat racks, and shelves built. More News coming soon!

New York's Finest Baseball Club began our 15th
season on April 7, 2008. This year we be like none of the past. New York's
Finest Baseball came to an agreement with Poly Tech University that
secures use of Floyd Bennett Field for the 2008 season and following years
to come.
Floyd Bennett Field is located just off Flatbush avenue, near the
Marine Park Bridge in Brooklyn, New York. The NYPD Drivers Training Unit
and Aviation Unit are housed there.
October 2007- Management from New York's Finest met with Poly Tech
University to work on a deal that would allow the Finest to use the field
when the school wasn't. Under the agreement, New York's Finest Baseball
would maintain and upgrade the facility.
The baseball field which wasn't in pristine condition and needs
work but the overall dimensions and location is great. The field is
330' down the lines, 400' to center, and has plenty of foul
territory.
April 2008- New York's Finest Baseball has begun remodeling the field.
We have spent days on the field making it home. The team has already,
Painted the foul poles and sewage drains, added windscreens and safety
caps to all the fences. We added new benches to the dugout area. The team
raised the pitchers mound, built two quality bullpen mounds and patched
holes in the infield. This is only the beginning. We are now working on
the big upgrades. We would like to put in New enclosed dugouts and a electronic
scoreboard. With plenty of work ahead of us, the team will continue
working hard until all of our goals are reached. Check back for updates. New
York's Finest Baseball club has been using funds that the team has raised
to purchase items needed for the field. NY Finest is accepting donations
through Pay Pal to assist the team in renovating the field. You can click
