New York's Finest baseball Club which has a Non for profit status, consists of 45 New York City Police Officers who work in various communities throughout the city. NY Finest Baseball members come together as does a family, where there is no rank on the field. We are a tight knit Bunch with one common goal. To enjoy ourselves playing the sport we love and helping others anyway we can. In the past we have traveled to various states and countries.   We have played other Departments such as Houston, Chicago, Las Vegas Metro, Los Angeles, San Diego, Tucson, Columbus Ohio, and other various police and Fire departments across the country.
NY Finest Baseball Club looks to make the 2009 season very memorable. First off, The Team will celebrate their 15 year anniversary. With that, NY Finest will compete in three local leagues (NYCMBL, All Borough, And Tri-County Baseball Leagues), Several charity events such as Game vs. St. Paul Minnesota PD in the Metrodomme  and Annual Game at Keyspan Park vs. FDNY. NY Finest will also be heading to Puerto Rico for spring training, Atlantic City for the Memorial Day Tournament, and other tournaments still in the works. Team management is still working on the first "Family Day" and plans to bring New York's Finest to China for a goodwill tour. After all that is said NY finest will play close to team high, 100 games this year. Check back soon for updates.

Baseball stars across the country are stepping up to support a new children’s book, A Glove of Their Own. The book aims to teach children the value of sharing what you have with those in need.  And the NYPD Baseball Team is proud to be one of the charities that will benefit from sales of the book.

Bob Salomon, the head of the movement promoting this book said “As a little league coach and proud father of two, I am fortunate enough to be passionate about the “pay it forward” or “give it back” mindset that has slowly been catching on throughout corporate America. A Glove of Their Own is a children’s picture book that personifies this mentality. It utilizes baseball, and an underprivileged group of children's childhood experience. Their love of the game is not defined by the equipment they don’t have but rather the passion and dreams that they do have.”

The book was inspired by a birthday party held for one of the writers, Debbie Moldovan’s, children. In place of gifts, guests were asked to donate baseball equipment for children who normally do without. A Glove of Their Own has caught the attention of big-hearted baseball players including Tommy John,Robb Quinlan, Ken Griffey,Jack Hannahan, Sean Casey, Craig Biggio,Joe Torre,Brent Mayne, and Jason Grilli We have over senventy non-profits and adding more every day.Non-Profits on board are theYogi Berra Museum&Learning Center,Bommer Esiason Foundation,Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation,Ken Griffey Sr, Foundation,USA Cares,Roberto Clemente Kids, and WBO/World Baseball Outreach, to name a few.

NY Finest Team LogoDid You Know?

The Famous interlocking New York Yankee logo  was created in 1877 by Louis B. Tiffany for a medal to be given by the New York City Police Department to Officer John McDowell, the first NYC policeman shot in the line of duty.  Because one of the club’s owners, Bill Devery, was a former NYC police chief, the design was adopted by the New York Highlanders who in 1903 became the New York Yankees.
